Food Cravings

Okay guys… So here’s the tea. I crave food EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY. Shit, I even find myself dreaming about food. Food is something that I use when I’m bored, when I’m upset, when I’m celebrating, when I’m reading a book, when I’m hungover, when I’m hanging out with friends, when I’m watching TV, when I’m at work… I think you get the point. I love food. I crave food. It can’t just be me, right? The problem is, I have made bad food a habit in my life now, because I constantly and consistently give in to my cravings. And we all know that once we create a habit, it’s super hard to break. But it’s not impossible.

After years and years of constantly letting myself eat and eat and eat, I started to notice all of my energy going away, I had no motivation for anything. I was constantly getting sick, and I was never ever confident in the way that I looked. I always noticed myself bloating, my face looked chubbier, my jeans were so much tighter… Basically, everything that nobody ever wants to feel like, but have all felt at some point in our lives, or are feeling right now.

I started doing some research… I had people telling me that I should go vegan, get on the keto diet, take some weight loss pills. But nothing really sounded right to me. I just needed a very simple LIFESTYLE change that wouldn’t be so dramatic for me that I would back out after a month. I was looking for something that I could do for the rest of my life. And of course, with working three jobs, I was not about to give myself enough time to meal prep a bunch of stuff.

What I began to realize, is that I needed to start slowly replacing my Cheez-its and my Reeses’s PB Cups with WHOLE FOODS. For example, green apples with almond butter, or these really yummy protein PB cups that I make all the time now! It isn’t always about finding the quickest way to get skinny…. because that is so unhealthy, and it will never last. It’s about finding a new routine to break old habits! So that is exactly what I did, and I lost FOUR pounds on my first 30 day challenge! But the best part is… I’ve maintained that, and have learned so much about my body, and about nutrition.

So, I challenge you all to go into your pantry, your fridge, your room, and clean out all of the bad foods! And yes, I see that bag of chips honey, that’s gotta go too! I have created the perfect routine for myself, and would love to teach you how to create a perfect one for yourself too. One that is going to work with your time restrictions, and help you to eat MORE, but HEALTHY foods! Are you ready to take on this new lifestyle with me?
